Quick Christmas

Sorry I've been away for a while, haven't had much time. I just got on break from school and have been working a lot. Happy Christmas!! I'm not doing much today, getting up in a couple of hours to go to work again and possibly go see TRON, I heard it was pretty good. But we'll see about that. Anyways just wanted to quickly remind everyone to be thankful for what Christmas truly stands for and don't get too caught up in the present frenzy. Be grateful for what you already have in your life. Have a Merry Christmas and a Very Happy New Year!! Be sure and pop as many fireworks as you can!

A Crazy Thanksgiving

Things worked out a lot better than I thought for Thanksgiving.............my Dad offered to have a thanksgiving dinner at his house. I was a little cautious at first because, my Dad recently was remarried to a woman whom I do not like, (because my father left the country without telling me to date this woman since I was 12 years old secretly, and bring her back and now marry her, without so much as a heads up to me...he still will not tell me, I had to find out for myself) although I have not yet met her. I've been unable to bring myself to meet her and have not yet been able to forgive my dad for the choices he's made over the past year. However he reassured me that she is on a vacation in her home town of Manila. SO...My dad and I rushed around the day before thanksgiving, which also happens to be my dad's birthday. We bought all the different ingredients and things, and I went home to prepare them all with my mom. Had a great feast the next evening; the menu? Chicken, instead of turkey. Green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, candied yams, buttered corn, cranberries, and for desert, pumpkin pie and rainbow cupcakes! To top it all off, we even celebrated with some chilled apple cider, my favorite! We were all so stuffed with all that food that by the time that my aunty called asking us to come to HER party, we were dreading it! Hahaha. :) But we went anyways just catching the end half of the party and the movie they were watching....really nothing exciting...the newest Karate Kid movie. We left when it was over and headed down to WalMart to join the black friday sale crowds...man o man the line was outrageous! People were lined up around the building and down the block. When we finished up there we headed to Target, Best Buy , and another shopping center here....we finished the day with a good ol' Wendy's Chicken sandwich!! YUMO! From the sale we got: A 42" HDTV, Blu Ray Player, Dvds, Cds, A Wii, Wii Fit, Steam Mop, and some other things for the household! SO excited to start using all of them!

Gobble Gobble

So..Thanksgiving is just around the corner; this Thursday, believe it or not. It feels like it was just Halloween! Since I have a very odd family, Thanksgiving isn't much of a joyous occasion. My aunt has held Thanksgiving at her apartment every year since she has been married (about 8). But my mother and I have only attended a select few of them. My mom's relationship with my aunt is weird, mostly because they can be really close one moment and very distant the next. I love going over there and eating until my clothes no longer fit and staying up all night and go shopping early in the morning. But I do believe this year, we won't be going. I have mixed feelings about this, but if my mom's not going, neither am I. I has thinking of things we could do on that day, but most of the stores and places to go are closed. Thanksgiving is a family holiday, but we don't really have any family...so that kind of makes me sad. I still want to eat turkey and stuffing and all the fix in's, so I made a offer to my mom to go eat in this fabulous restaurant, on me. Let you know how it goes....hope it's not a lonely Gobble Gobble day. :(

A Deathly Weekend :)

So I worked pretty much the whole weekend. Friday-Sunday. But I did get to do one huge thing. I went to go see the Harry Potter Movie; The Deathly Hallows Part 1. It was awesome! In my opinion, the best movie yet. Although with many deaths, it is rather on the sad side. It was full of action and I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. If you haven't already seen the movie, I don't want to give too much away, but I can say that at the end of the movie, you'll wish they were already done filming Part 2. It left me dying to know what happens next, but I guess the only way to know is by reading the book. Anyways I was just excited to share that, but I'm off to bed..it's 2 in the morning on a Sunday night, and I have school tomorrow. This can't be good. :( Nighty night, sleep tight.

I'm Back...I think?

I've been M.I.A. for a while, due to working and a hectic family. Thinking about things this year, I've got to say I have had more than my fair share of drama this year. Lots of things, which I sometimes wish I could take back. Have you ever made a choice and was too proud to admit you were wrong or ever get into a fight with a friend and can never say you're sorry? I've made many mistakes like that this year. It's like painting yourself in a corner and trying to find a way out with out messing up the paint. Sometimes I feel like I'm living double lives. The life I stay away from, like friends and school, and the life I can't get enough of, like work and my family. I've often dreamt of some kind of adventure...one like you would see in a movie or read about in a novel. I guess sometimes my imagination is my only way of living. I have so many dreams and expectations of myself...but I now realize I have never met a single big goal for myself. I admire myself for being strong, but in actuality I am very weak. Theres many things I have yet to do which I need to get done. Wish me luck as a venture into uncertain territories!

The Weekend

This weekend started off with a....tired Nicha. I had to work on Friday 5pm-10pm, not bad only 5 hours, but since I currently work at McDonald's...work is so physical and stressful. I was placed in the Drive Thru, money taking window...let me tell ya, some of these customers reek of arrogance and selfishness...it makes me wonder how I was like before I worked there when I ordered food. Do everyone of us, fast food worker a favor, give your self a attitude adjustment! Well I guess I don't have to rip through all of the gory, nitty-gritty details...you get the gist. But today Saturday was...I wish I could say less tiring, but it wasn't lol. I peeled myself off the bed at 7am to get to Nordstrom's quarterly trend show. IT WAS AWESOME!! If you've never been to one and you have one in your area, I highly recommend it! You pay like $15 for your ticket, but when you attend the show you get a continental breakfast, buffet style; a hand bag filled with cosmetic goodies and samples; then after the fashion and trends show, you can go down and buy things that you liked in the presentation and use the $15 you put towards the ticket, to pay for a portion of the cost. So essentially you spend nothing and get tons of free things and attend a fun event! It's great for women and their gal pals! Anyways over all so far, a very exhausting 2 days, but very fun in the end! Hope you all had excellent couple of days!
